Joey B Tucker

Joey Tucker, Associate Broker at Coldwell Banker Upchurch Realty, began his real estate career in 2002. Since then, the Lake Hartwell native has served the real estate industry at the local, state and national levels through REALTOR® associations, leadership positions and community advocacy. Joey played an instrumental role in the gubernatorial effort to ensure the Georgia real estate industry remained active and profitable during the 2020 lockdown period cementing him as an advocate for real estate professionals and the industry.

Within the local Athens Area Association of REALTORS® (AAAR), Joey serves on various committees including the Board of Directors and currently is the 2024 AAAR President-Elect. In 2025 he will be reelected a second time as President. Joey was the Georgia Association of REALTORS President in 2022 and serves on the CCRC, Advisory Board, Board of Directors and YPN Advisory Board currently.  On the National level, Joey's involvement includes serving as the Region 5 Representative for RPAC Fundraising Trustee, the Board of 

Directors, and a RPAC Grant Approval Subcommittee Member. 

An active community member, Joey is involved with local organizations such Athens First United Methodist Church, serves on the Board of Directors for the Salvation Army, and enjoys being the UGA Men's Basketball Scoreboard Keeper.

Joey has been recognized as a Coldwell Banker Sterling Society member, two time local REALTOR of the Year, and is a Bronze Phoenix member for his sales production.

As a Northeast Georgia native, Joey’s expertise and connection to the greater Athens area and Oconee, Madison, Oglethorpe, Jackson and Barrow counties inspire his continued service to his customers, clients and community.
