Cook is devoted to using her Greater Athens area expertise to make her clients feel comfortable and confident during every step of the transaction process. She can help families at any stage of life successfully navigate the Real Estate realm with ease.
Prior to Real Estate, Cook graduated from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia, earning a bachelor’s degree in English. Following her college years, Cook embarked on a successful eighteen-year career as a retail management professional in Athens, Georgia. Presently, Cook is a member of the Athens Area Association of REALTORS® (AAAR) and Georgia Association of REALTORS® (GAR) and very eager to start her Real Estate career as an established Athens resident.
When Cook is not working at Coldwell Banker Upchurch Realty, she is an avid volunteer for a local non-profit organization, Girls Rock Athens.

Melinda is more than we expected in a real estate agent. She represented my wife and I as a buyer’s agent. Despite being very busy with many clients she somehow always responded to our inquiries rapidly. Melinda is sharp. She is very intelligent, professional, personable, patient, and ethical. When you work with Melinda you get Melinda. You are not delegated to a less talented subordinate. Melinda doesn’t waste your time. She quickly learns your preferences in the kind of property you are looking for, your preferred locations, and only suggests properties that fit those parameters. Melinda actively protects her client’s best interests. She also personally guides you through all the minutiae of the buying process to make sure everything is completed in an accurate and timely manner. I could continue, but I fear it would sound like a paid advertisement rather than the honest review that it is. However, don’t take my word for it. Instead, have a ten minute conversation with her as you interview potential real estate agents. I am confident you will quickly draw the same conclusions for yourself.
